Fortnite is turning eight this month, so it’s time for a proper celebration! With the latest update, Epic Games brought a birthday event, adding new cosmetics that can be unlocked for free. On top of this, Fortnite will have several limited-time quests that you can complete to level up.
Without further ado, let’s take a look at everything the new event will bring. We’ll check the free cosmetics and how you can unlock them.
How to unlock new Fortnite birthday rewards?
Once again, Epic Games added three new cosmetics to celebrate the game’s birthday. Unlocking them is very simple, as all you need to do is earn Account Levels. When you earn two of them, you’ll receive a spray, while a birthday pickaxe requires four levels. The final reward is a birthday cake back bling, which you’ll unlock after leveling up six times.
The Fortnite birthday event brings other quests that you can complete as well. However, these will only reward you with XP and are not essential to unlocking any rewards.
These are all the birthday quests added with the latest update:
- Wish the Bus Driver a happy birthday (0/1)
- Search containers before damaging a single player in a match (0/8)
- Dance by a Birthday Cake found at Named Locations (0/1)
- Throw Birthday Presents! (0/3)
- Ascend to 80 meters using Balloons (0/1)
- Eat slices of Birthday Cake found at Named Locations (0/8)
- Emote in different matches (0/3)
- Land from the Bus in different matches (0/3)
The release date of the Fortnite birthday event is currently unknown. Considering that the birthday is on September 26, we expect Epic Games to release it within a few days and keep it active for a week or two. While waiting for it, make sure to unlock all the free skins in Fortnite, as they are also available for a limited time.
