Being the best Fortnite player in the world is not an easy task. The battle royale game has millions of daily active players, with thousands of them playing the game professionally. The ever-changing nature of the game forces competitors to adjust their playstyle and new tactics, which is why staying at the top for a long time is nearly impossible.
To determine the best player in the world, we will take a look at the competitive earnings this year. With the Fortnite Global Championship coming in late 2025, we expect the leaderboard to drastically shift by the end of the year.
The best Fortnite player in 2025 revealed
As of April 16, 2025, the best Fortnite player in the world is Danila Yakovenko, also known as Malibuca. The 19-year-old player currently competes for Karmine Corp and has an active YouTube channel with over 177,000 subscribers. Malibuca has also become very popular on TikTok, attaining more than 250,000 followers.
He started playing Fortnite in 2018, right after the release of Chapter 1 – Season 3. It took him less than two years to get his first earnings from the tournaments, as he made $2,300 in 2020. Fast forward to 2025, Malibuca is the top Fortnite player with the earnings of $12,580. Last year, he made more than $200,000, and 2022 was the most successful year for him, racking up nearly half a million dollars.
While Malibuca currently holds the title of the best Fortnite player, he is closely followed by a few other esports superstars, namely Kami (Michał Kamiński) and Veno (Harry Pearson), both of which have earned $10,000 so far this year. With the big competitive tournament coming in late 2025, it will be interesting to see who will finish the year at the top.
