- The FC 25 closed beta runs from August 6 to August 27
- To access it, players need to have signed up for EA Playtesting
- There are limited codes, so not everyone will get one
FC 25 is right around the corner and with so many massive new features confirmed for this year’s game, it’s no surprise that fans are desperate to try their hand at it for themselves. Well, thankfully some lucky players won’t have to wait too long, with closed beta and early access periods giving players the chance to try it out early.
So if you can’t wait for that elusive release date to finally arrive and want to find out how to get in on the beta action, we’ve put together a guide explaining exactly how you can sign up for the beta, and get early access to play the game before it comes out.
How to get FC 25 beta codes
The players selected to take part in the closed beta are chosen by EA out of players who have signed up for Community Playtesting. It’s pretty easy to sign up for this, simply follow these steps:
- Sign in to the EA website
- Click your avatar in the top right and select ‘Account Settings’
- Select ‘Email Preferences’
- Tick the box to allow EA to send you communications ‘Anytime’
- Make sure to select all the ‘EA Sports FC’ titles as your favourite games, and click ‘Update’
- Select the ‘Electronic Arts Playtesting’ tab
- Select ‘Join EA Playtesting’ and fill out the form provided
Once you’ve finished all of that, you’ll now be eligible to be offered a closed beta code. However, you will also need to ensure you meet the following criteria to be considered:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Own a PS5 or Xbox Series X|S
- Regularly play FC 24
- Have a PS Plus or Xbox Game Pass subscription
- Have accepted the User and Beta Agreement
Unfortunately, there are a limited number of codes, so even if you do meet all these criteria, there’s still no guarantee that you’ll be given a code during the duration of the beta period.
