There are many companions in Fallout London that players can find on their travels. One of those that players can get somewhat early on is Mountbatten. You can find him on your travels or rather naturally as part of the main storyline. No matter how you choose to get him, you will find a complex character with a great backstory, alongside a really OP revolver for ranged combat support. Here’s everything you need to know about Mountbatten in Fallout London.
Mountbatten’s location in Fallout London
Mountbatten is located in the very northeast corner of the London map. Players can find him beside the gate that leads to Hackney. You can naturally discover this location as part of the main storyline after completing the Bank of England quest and taking on the Heavenslayer quest.
If you are exploring, you can find this location naturally regardless. Look for the sectioned-off blast wall to the northeast, and you’ll find the route to Hackney. When you get right up against the blast wall, you can find Mountbatten hanging right up against the gate. You’ll hear him calling your name, and you can choose to set him free. Once he is free, he will ask you if he can be your companion. You can opt to tell him to go to your settlement if you wish or join you at that moment.
If you do opt for Mountbatten to be on your side, you will find he is a very strong companion. He walks around with a Revolver, and that Revolver does a lot of damage. He is perhaps one of the stronger companions in terms of infinite ammo weapons they spawn with. If you need some punch dealing with the difficulty of Fallout London, Mountbatten is a great companion to get early on.
If you ever swap Mounbatten out, he will typically go to a settlement you sent him to. If cannot find him, then use the Form ID code below.
Mountbatten’s Form ID Code
If you need to summon Mountbatten, then you need to do the following console command:
- Player.placeatme 072C005F
To access console commands, you need to press either the tilde key “~” or ‘, depending on your keyboard layout. You can then copy and paste this code to teleport Mountbatten to you. Note that he needs to be alive and rescued for it to work.
Mountbatten’s affinity and likes
Mountbatten’s affinity contains quite a strange mixture of likes and dislikes, which you can find below.
Likes | Dislikes |
Steal things | Using chems |
Be nice in quest dialogue | Chem addiction |
Ask him about his life and history | Walking around naked |
Drink booze and party with him | Dont urinate in the bottle for a certain end-game quest |
In general, Mountbatten is your gentry character. He is fine if you use the more legal narcotics, and dislikes the more performance-enhancing items outlawed. He’s also a gentleman, meaning he likes it when you’re compassionate, kind and thoughtful, and dislikes more unpleasantries and barbarism, hence the chems, addiction, nakedness and urination. They are rather ungentlemanlike after all. Stealing things is acceptable however because of his background feeling like he’s a thief anyway because of the tax role the gentry made him do.
Keep these in mind for his affinity quest, which will make you collect items as part of his family’s back story. You get a minor taste of this as your affinity with him improves over time and you ask him questions to get to know him.
With that said, this covers the basics of recruiting Mountbatten, his console ID and helping him with his affinity quest and what he likes to unlock it. Good luck there in the waste with this character.
