No matter whether you’re playing the main story or picking through a faction side quest, you’ll eventually need to make it to the capitals’ former seat of power. As with most things in Fallout London, reaching the area takes some doing. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to get to Westminster and offer a few suggestions in bugs rear their ugly heads and stunt your progression.

How to enter Westminster in Fallout London

To enter Westminster, you’ll need to complete the Heavenslayer quest line in Hackney and Islington, which will unlock access to the area where you can progress the story. If you approach the Westminster gate near Trafalgar Square before completing the Heavenslayer quest, the Tommy guard on duty there will tell you that you can’t enter.

To reach the Heavenslayer quest, you’ll first need to complete Archie and the Ferryman’s quest lines, then wrap up Lazarus’ quest chain in Millwall and St Paul’s Cathedral. This will lead to the Tommies and the Imperial War Museum and the Bank of England quest. Once you have a gas mask to ward off tunnel cough, you can enter Hackney and Islington to take on the Heavenslayer quest. It’s a long one and the enemies in the area are some of the toughest you’ll have met so far. We recommend securing decent weapons before venturing and take on the thugs and automatons there.

Once you’re done with the Heavenslayer quest, head back to the guard next to the Westminster. He’ll unlock the gate, allowing you to gain entry to the area and press on with the story.

Westminster Bugb

There is a bug that is preventing the guard that opens the Westminster gate from spawning in. This seems to be an issue if you’re fairly late into a save rather than early on. If you encounter this issue, then you may need to fast travel to the Westminster region instead after completing the Heavenslayer quest. You can also use this console command to attempt to spawn in the guard – “setstage FOLON_MQ201 20”. Alternatively, you can try and no clip the gate and load in that way.
