The Tommies are one of the factions that you can interact with on your journey through post-apocalyptic London. In fact, the Tommies are by and large one of the largest factions around London, guarding key areas and having several bases around the capital. However, you can’t actually join the Tommies as a faction. But that doesn’t mean you can’t interact with them. Here’s everything you need to know about the Tommies faction in Fallout London.
No, you can’t join the Tommies
Though the Tommies is a faction that’s pivotal to the main story, you can’t join them in Fallout London. But, due to their importance and role as power broker in London, you’ll have many encounters with them as other factions, like Camelot and Fifth Column, vie to get their favor and expand their control over London throughout the story.
Depending on your choices and the consequences of these, you’ll interact the Tommies in various ways. As you play through the story, you’ll meet the Tommies several times and complete multiple quests alongside them. Of note is a quest to secure a gas mask that features the Tommies heavily along with optional side quests from level 20 onward that involve rescuing Tommy faction members. You’ll meet them fairly early on when you need to get a gas mask to venture into Hackney and Islington for the Heavenslayer quest. You might not be able to join them, but you’ll feel connected to them.
Where is the Tommies base?
If you need to visit the Tommies, you’ll find their home in the Imperial War Museum. This is located to the southwest of the city. Look for the Blackfriar’s Bridge and travel south along the main road to reach the museum. You’ll know you’re in the area when you come across Tommy checkpoints.
