As you explore the world map in Dynasty Warriors Origins, you’ll stumble across Old Coins, highlighted as sparkling shards of light. You’ll also receive the ancient money for completing certain missions and as gifts in letters back at inns and tents. How to use Old Coins in Dynasty Warriors Origins
To use Old Coins, you’ll need to unlock the Shui Jing Retreat next to the Ji Inn in the You Province. To do this, you’ll need to progress through to chapter 2 and complete the Suppression of Jing Province and Suppression of Liang Province main story battles. Once those are complete, you’ll be instructed to return to the Ji Inn where you’ll meet Shui Jing. He’ll set up the retreat next door shortly after.

At the Shui Jing Retreat, you can track your Bonds with characters, check for potential Interactions, and redeem Old Coins. Shui Jing will provide various gifts in return for any Old Coins you collect. The rewards range from coins and pyroxene to accessories and consumable items.
