Out of the many currencies in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, perhaps none are as useful as League Points. This is because League points can do almost everything Pokedollars can, and even more, such as purchasing TMs to teach your Pokémon new moves.

Method #1: Trading TM Materials

The quickest way of farming league points is by using the TM machine. Over the course of your journey, you’ll come across many TM materials that you’ll get by defeating Pokémon, with not all of them being useful to you, at least when it comes to making TMs.

Luckily, they might be helpful for you in a different way, namely selling them off for league points using the TM Machine. After all, some materials even go for as much as 100 league points, and collecting these materials is extremely easy as all you have to do is battle and catch wild Pokémon all across Paldea.

Method #2: Interacting With Tera Raid Crystals

Scattered across Paldea are Tera Raid crystals, represented by dots on the map. When a player interacts with one of these crystals, they get league points based on the difficulty of the raid. The higher the difficulty, the more league points they can expect to get.

What’s more is that you don’t necessarily have to participate in the raid itself, so be sure to interact with any crystal you come across on your journey, regardless of whether or not you want to participate.

Method #3: Participating in Tera Raid Events

If you do participate in a tera raid event instead of just interacting with the tera raid crystal, however, then you’ve very likely to be rewarded with TM material that can, in turn, be traded in for LP using the first method we mentioned.

Of course, the higher rated the event will be the better quality TM material you can expect to get, and the better quality material you have the more LP points you should get.

Method #4/5: Defeating or Capturing Tera Type Pokémon

The next two methods of earning league points are defeating and/or capturing the many tera type Pokémon that roam the region of Paldea. These tera type Pokémon are in predetermined locations across the map, and respawn every day. 

Additionally, the level of the tera type Pokémon you come across determines how much LP you can expect for defeating or capturing it.

Method #6: Defeating Team Star Bosses

One of the many storylines in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet has you go across the region raiding Team Star bases and defeating their bosses, and it’s called Starfall Street.

Every time you successfully raid a Team Star base and take out all the grunts inside, the boss challenges you. For every boss you defeat, Cassiopea gives you a large number of league points.

Method #7: Revisiting Team Star Bases

What’s unique about the Team Star method is that in the late game, it becomes possible to exploit it by rechallenging the bases and the bosses to get more and more LP every time.

Players will have to defeat 50 Pokémon in 10 minutes using the auto battle system, with all the team star Pokémon being at level 50. The quicker they defeat them, the more league points they can expect. Of course, rechallenging the bosses after raiding the base is also an option if you want even more LP.

Although getting a large number of league points isn’t as easy as farming poke dollars is, the fact of the matter is that the usefulness of league points is unmatched by Poke dollars. After all, what’s more useful than being able to teach your Pokémon new powerful moves?
