Assassin’s Creed Shadows takes players to a stunning world full of breathtaking vistas and bustling towns of 16th-century Japan, as you can find out in our review. That makes it a perfect game for capturing some beautiful moments in photo mode. In addition, you can use the photo mode to illuminate dark areas, as well as save them on the world map for other players to see. We’ll explain how to use photo mode in Assassin’s Creed Shadows and how to view your photos once you’ve taken them.

How to enter and use photo mode in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

To enter photo mode in Assassin’s Creed Shadows press the L and R sticks if you’re playing with a controller, or hit F3 if you’re using mouse and keyboard. Once activated, the game will pause and the photo mode interface will appear, giving you full control over various settings, from adjusting the camera angle to fine-tuning the contrast. You can even add stickers to your photos for a personalized touch. When you’re happy with your shot, press Y or F to hide the interface and preview the photo. After that, if you’re happy with the result, hit A or the Space Bar to take the photo.

How to view your Assassin’s Creed Shadows photos

Once you’ve taken your photos, they are automatically saved to the game’s world map, where other players can view them too. To find your pictures, simply open the map and look for small snapshot icons that resemble a photo frame with a head in it. These icons mark both your photos and those of other players, creating a snapshot gallery that spans across Japan.

If you want to view one of your own photos or delete one that you accidentally took, just locate the icon associated with your snapshots. It’s important to note that photos will only save to the map if you’re connected to the internet. If you’re playing offline, photo mode won’t be able to save your images and will show an error message once you attempt to take a photo.
