Rocket League is getting a brand new update called Sandy Shores next week that ushers in the start of competitive season 8, a lovely beach-like arena, and a couple of new tunes.
The wonderfully beige new pitch to play ball on has a host of beachside attractions in its vicinity such as a rollercaster, a ferris wheel, empty tins of Bavaria and a Brighton-esque pier. You'll be also be able to grab the brand new Twinzer Battle-Car through the new Impact Crate that's part of this free update. You can get a better look at it in the trailer below.
Psyonix says there'll be some quality of life improvements, too, with the developer noting that players will now be able to report server issues when things get a bit wonky during an online match. All season 7 rewards will be doled out at this time, too, right in time for season 8 to kick off.
You'll have to wait a little while longer if you want to get in on the Beach Blast summer event, though, as that doesn't start until June 11.
Salty Shores will be free to download from May 29 for all players. Rocket League just keeps on keeping on.
