3D is the big new thing in gaming. Here’s our pick of games that you’ll be able to play in 3D in the coming months.

Crysis 2

Not only does this shooter look amazing, but it’s going to be in full 3D. What makes this stand out from the rest is the fact that it’ll be 3D on Xbox 360 too. Considering the rest of this list only jump out of the screen on PS3, that’s a big achievement.

Killzone 3

The snow appears as if it’s in front of your eyes, between you and the TV screen. That might not sound all that great, but seeing it in action is another story. We reckon this will be one of the most impressive 3D games on its release early next year.

MotorStorm Apocalypse

While GT5 and Need for Speed may well be better all-round racers, they won’t offer the same level of carnage as Apocalypse, and that may well make this the better 3D experience. Buildings will collapse into your face.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit

Thrilling, fast-paced racing in super powered sports cars? Check. Cops chasing down criminals in an open world? Check. Superb visuals in 3D? Check. Hot Pursuit could be the racing game of 2010.

Mortal Kombat

Seeing fatalities in the old games was, at times, stomach churning, but in the new game you’ll be able to see spines ripped from bodies in eye-popping 3D. It’ll be interesting to see what 3D adds to the fighting game genre.

Ghost Recon Future Soldier

Shooters stand to benefit a lot from 3D support, what with the obvious benefit of bullets actually looking like they’re flying out of the screen. The latest Ghost Recon from Ubisoft will hopefully add another dimension to the team-based gun-play.

Tron Evolution

Back in the day Tron was so far ahead of its time that we thought we were seeing the future. It’s no surprise then that the game based on the upcoming movie sequel features 3D support.

Final Fantasy XIV

While not officially announced to include 3D vision support, we played Square Enix’s MMO in 3D at E3 last month, and it was great. Hopefully when the PS3 version launches in March it’ll let us quest in 3D.

The Fight

Sony has PlayStation Move and 3D gaming on the go at the moment, and this will be one of the first titles to support both technologies. Hopefully punches will fly out of the screen.

Gran Turismo 5

Early impressions suggest the 3D in GT5 isn’t anything to write home about, but it’s Gran Turismo, and you’re going to want to buy it anyway.
