Welcome to Heads-up, VideoGamer.com’s weekly feature which gives you an at-a-glance run-down on the games you’ll be able to buy or rent this weekend. Every Tuesday we’ll pick out the best of the bunch, link to our reviews and previews and keep you in the video game loop so you have enough time to pre-order for Friday’s post. Time to splash the cash.

So good are the games out this week that we’ve had to relegate a few excellent releases to the worth a look section. Our pick of the week is Xbox 360 exclusive racer Forza 3, which just about does everything we want a racing sim to do. If you love racing you absolutely must pick up Forza 3. If you don’t own an Xbox 360 yet, now might be a good time to part with the cash. Another must buy is Rockstar’s GTA: Chinatown Wars. We loved it on the DS and we love it on the PSP. It’s an incredible handheld game and the DS to PSP port has been handled brilliantly. Finally there’s 2K’s first-person shooter/RPG hybrid Borderlands. You’ll have to wait until later in the week for our review, but we’ve played enough to know that it’s well worth picking up.

Borderlands – Xbox 360, PS3 and PC

Forza Motorsport 3 – Xbox 360

GTA Chinatown Wars – PSP

Worth a look

We may have given PES 2010 a 7/10 in our review last week, but it’s still worth buying if you’re a long-time PES fan. It’s the best next-gen PES yet and will provide hours and hours of entertainment when played with friends. WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 is an acquired taste, but anyone who gets pleasure from watching a soap opera starring large men in spandex will find this year’s edition to be the best in years. EyePet is out for anyone who is clinging onto their childhood or has kids of their own, and is the best use of the PlayStation Eye by some way. Lips: Number One Hits is likely to be loved and loathed in equal measure, but if you fancy some more karaoke this Christmas, its smash hit track list should go down well.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 – Xbox 360, PS3 and PC

WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 – Xbox 360, PS3, PSP, Wii, PS2 and DS

EyePet with Camera – PS3

Lips: Number One Hits – Xbox 360
