Recommended: Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box - PC, Xbox 360 and PS3

If you didn't pick up Burnout Paradise last year or have been waiting for the PC version, there's no better time to give Criterion's superb arcade racer a spin. The Ultimate Box is available at a budget price and comes packed with more content than the original release - all the currently available DLC is included, as is a new party mode that existing owners can download for a price. The PC version really does look great, able to run at insanely high resolutions and with extra graphical effects not seen in the console games. With Midnight Club: LA not making an appearance on the PC, Burnout Paradise is a no brainer for anyone with a taste for speed.

Recommended: Chrono Trigger - DS

One of the greatest JRPGs ever made finally makes its way to the UK thanks to the DS. If you're a fan of Square-Enix RPGs and want a portable game to keep you occupied, get this one pre-ordered right now. While the game might look visually dated compared to today's best efforts in the genre, the gameplay and story on offer make this a must-own title.
