Welcome to Heads-up, VideoGamer.com's weekly feature which gives you an at-a-glance run-down on the games you'll be able to buy or rent this weekend. Every Tuesday we'll pick out the best of the bunch, link to our reviews and previews and keep you in the video game loop so you have enough time to pre-order for Friday's post. Time to splash the cash.

Recommendation of the Week: Crysis Warhead, PC

The first Crysis remains the best-looking video game ever released - that's if you have the rig to power it - and this week sees the release of the quasi sequel Crysis Warhead. Warhead takes place in parallel to the story of the original Crysis and sees you playing as Sergeant Michael 'Psycho' Sykes. We're promised more free-form gameplay, incredible visuals, better performance and an enhanced multiplayer component. All this at a budget price too. What more could you want?

Also out this week

Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, PC: We've seen Funcom have a decent stab at challenging World of Warcraft with Age of Conan, and now EA and Mythic are trying with the Warhammer licence. We've been impressed by what we've seen so far of WAR and Mythic certainly talks the talk. It'll take some time before we know if Mythic has created a game that stands up to WoW but we reckon it's worth a look.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PS2 and PSP: Although Star Wars: The Force Unleashed isn't quite the incredible action game we hoped it would be, it's still one of the best Star Wars action games we've played in years. The use of physics verges on incredible and at times and it's immensely satisfying to play - Force pushing storm troopers off ledges never gets old. The end game gets slightly annoying but we reckon it's worth a look for gamers and Star Wars fans alike.
