Welcome to Heads-up, our weekly feature which gives you an at-a-glance run-down on the games you'll be able to buy or rent this weekend. Every Tuesday we'll pick out the best of the bunch, link to our reviews and previews and keep you in the video game loop so you have enough time to pre-order for Friday's post. Time to splash the cash.

There are two high profile releases hitting PS3 this week. Mass Effect 2 arrives on Sony's console a year after its debut on Xbox 360 and PC, complete with all the released DLC and a bonus interactive comic that fills players in on the events of the original game. It was a must own game on the 360 and the same is true on PS3.

LittleBigPlanet 2 is the first of Sony's extensive line-up of PS3 exclusives for 2011, and arrives with a charming story campaign and incredible creation tools. Creating levels isn't for everyone (you need patience and a lot of talent to build anything good), but there's going to be a lot of great user-made content being added in the months to come.

And the rest

We've seen Square Enix's Mind Jack numerous times over the last few years and while it's an interesting concept it's never looked like being a breakout hit. We might be blown away when we get our hands on review code, but at the moment we're being rather cautious about the game that lets you jump inside the mind of a cybernetically enhanced gorilla.
