Worth a Look

There’s not a massive selection of big games out this week, but the most interesting of the lot is clearly Shadows of the Damned – a weird and slightly twisted horror action title from Grasshopper Manufacture and EA. The game combines the creative talents of Goichi Suda (No More Heroes) and Shinji Mikami (Vanquish, Resident Evil 4), and while it’s not without its frustrations, it’s certainly a colourful departure from the usual shooter fare. It’s funny too, provided you have a fairly sick sense of humour.

Also of note is Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition, a retail version of the downloadable update that released two weeks ago. To be blunt, you probably already know about this if you fall into the target audience. If you’re looking for new characters to brawl with, check it out; be warned, however, that some fans have been moaning about the new roster balance. Supposedly the new characters are somewhat overpowered. So it goes.

F.E.A.R 3 is something of an unknown quantity, at the time of writing. Martin is sceptical, but Tom Orry is remaining positive as he was a big fan of the previous games.
