The console war is fought everywhere these days, but the internet seems to be where people are most vocal. It also serves to give each console its own set of downloadable content, fuelling the war even more. Each week we'll give you a run-down of what's available to download on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii, and declare a winner.
Note: This round-up is based on UK releases to each console's online service. Releases outside of the UK could vary.
PlayStation 3 - PSN
Yet another poor showing for the Sony console. There are no new games and gamers looking for something new to play will have to make do with a track pack for Guitar Hero III.

Head to page 3 for a look at this week's Wii Virtual Console releases.
Wii Virtual Console
New to the Virtual Console this week is the SNES shmup Super R-Type and the classic NES shooter Operation Wolf. Super R-Type combines elements from the original R-Type and its sequel to create a new experience exclusive to the platform. Unfortunately the game suffers from slowdown problems, sometimes to the extent of making the game unplayable.
The Virtual Console version of Operation Wolf is a little disappointing. Where as the NES version supported the system's light gun, this VC version only functions with the standard controller and does not make use of the Wii Remote's pointing abilities.
Virtual Console releases
Super R-Type: 800 Wii Points
Operation Wolf: 500 Wii Points
And the winner of this week's DLC Royal Rumble is...
Xbox 360 Marketplace
We sound like a broken record but this week neither Sony nor Nintendo put up much of a fight to stop the Xbox 360. The PS3's only worthwhile content is a Guitar Hero III track pack and the Wii Virtual Console offers up two retro titles, one of which is inferior to the original release.
The Xbox 360 is the clear victor; LIVE members have the choice of two XBLA titles, a host of extra game content and a free playable demo of Condemned 2.
