The first games to come from the agreement will be released on the PlayStation 2, GameCube, GBA and DS in Q4 2006, coinciding with the release of the film on November 14. Flushed Away will be a story driven 3rd-person platformer, and hopes to capture the humour of the film. As well as featuring characters from the film, new characters and environments will be unique to the game.
“Flushed Away will be a key title for us in 2006 and we are very pleased to be working with the DreamWorks Animation team to deliver a fun gaming experience that expands on the computer animated feature film,” said Careen Yapp, vice president of licensing and business development for D3PA.
