Ubisoft has announced that it has delayed the release of Assassin's Creed Origins' undead-focused Curse of the Pharaohs expansion.

The final slice of DLC for the critically acclaimed stabby simulator was scheduled to appear on March 6. However, in order to 'deliver the best experience possible,' Ubisoft has decided to shove the content back one week to March 13.

Curse of the Pharaohs comes as part of Origins' Season Pass or can be purchased separately. The DLC will be backed up by a free introductory quest titled Light Among the Dunes on February 27, which as far as we know has not been affected by the core expansion's delay.

Alice was pretty impressed with Bayek's sun-baked adventure when it launched last October, heaping praise on the game's dedicated RPG mechanics and stunning ancient Egyptian setting.

A recent survey sent out by Ubisoft has hinted at a number of possible settings for the franchise, including ones based around King Arthur and Genghis Khan.
