Microsoft is providing Xbox One users affected by the login issues on Titanfall’s launch day with seven days’ worth of free Xbox Live Gold.

In a message sent to those affected overnight, Microsoft apologised for the issue and stated: “We know you experienced an issue signing in on your Xbox One on 3/11/2014. We apologize and will soon give you 7 days of Xbox Live Gold for your inconvenience.”

Xbox One users were left unable to sign in to their Xbox Live profile on the evening of March 11, preventing them from accessing their save games and playing multiplayer titles.

At the time Microsoft stated that the issue didn’t “have anything to do with Titanfall”, but has never clarified the actual cause of the problem.
