Ryse: Son of Rome looks every bit a next-gen game, but there remains a concern there'll be no depth under its undeniably pretty face.

In an effort to prove the game will be worth playing, Microsoft and Crytek have released a new Combat Overview Trailer which looks to show off the combat mechanics and combo system.

Ryse: Son of Rome will be released November 22 for Xbox One. For updated impressions on the game head over to our recent report on Microsoft's three launch titles: Ryse, Forza 5 and Dead Rising 3.

Exactly the same as all 3 past Batman games. Pretty much only missing a counter left you open to attack.

The shield is up within a single frame no matter what animation is running? Sounds like constant easy /zero punishment mode.

All those numbers and bloat cluttering up the otherwise pretty screen. Shame.

Remember when the hardest part of these games was to not die?
