Xbox One's digital games store is now live in the UK, revealing the full list of prices and install sizes of day one titles.

The average price for a digital third-party title appears to be £54.99, with Battlefield 4, Assassin's Creed 4, Call of Duty: Ghosts and FIFA 14 all carrying the premium price tag.

First-party digital titles are slightly lower, however, with Forza Motorsport 5, Ryse: Son of Rome and Dead Rising 3 coming in at £44.99. Oddly, Microsoft's Zoo Tycoon bucks the trend, costing £49.99.

This is the reason I won't be going all digital next-gen. The prices are absolutely ridiculous! I saw Fuse being sold at a whopping £59.99 on the PSN store! What a ripoff!

Third party pricing is the same issue for Sony and Nintendo, not great for the customer.

But, as Karlius said, the golf game looks great for the price and I'm tempted to get that with the remaining credit after getting Forza.

Pirate's Creed is £48 on amazon. So much for going digital only this gen. If I remember correctly MS said something about being able to lower the prices for digital sales before they backtracked on the drm. I think their excuse was that if every sale for a game sent some money to the devs/publisher then they could afford the lower prices.

The Wii U digital store is exactly the same. Way overpriced.

Considering the prices are staying the same in the US we are getting majority ripped off and even so now that it is not £49 as speculated but £54.99 for most AAA third party games.

Third party determines their own pricing by the looks of things.

Really fancy Powerstar Golf it looks a lot of fun.

Why? Just basically why? What does third party have to pay that means consumers have to take the costs of the company for?
