Microsoft has adjusted up the price of three of its four first-party Xbox One launch games from £44.99 to £49.99.

Dead Rising 3, Forza 5 and Ryse have all been bumped up to the higher price point, which was in fact the launch price for Microsoft's other launch title Zoo Tycoon.

No reason for the hike has been given.

Despite the price increase, Microsoft's pricing remains £3 cheaper than Sony's first-party titles Killzone: Shadow Fall and Knack.

I guess retail muscled MS into backing down on digital pricing the only way to drive these down is to get actual competition into play. Amazon US sells PSN digital goods often for less than PSN we need this rolled out to both EMEA and for a similar arrangement for Amazon on XBL

Judging by your antagonistic follow-up im gonna go with assuming your original post was against the forum rules or deliberately abusive.

It's the attitude of Microsoft I was happy with the price point of digital being £10 cheaper then physical. I hoped the digital price would mirror the physical and drop when it does always keeping it the cheaper way to buy games. But with Microsoft bumping the price you can see this won't happen they just see digital as a way of maximising profit.

I'm not sure how this makes a difference. Playstation 4 prices are just as high and have been since launch. I suppose what MS were doing here was enticing people in for launch.
