XCOM: Enemy Unknown Slingshot Content Pack is now available to buy for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, 2K Games and Firaxis Games have announced.

The first add-on content for the critically acclaimed turn-based strategy title includes three new maps tied to a new linked set of Council missions, a new playable squad character, and new character customisation option.

Players will meet an enigmatic Triad operative, divert an alien ship's course, and do battle with the aliens in the skies over China.

All this will cost you 560 MS Points / £5.49.

I'm with you there, 'punk, I thought there'd be a new class or new weapons and so on. With the missions basically randomly generated it doesn't really feel like 'more missions' is even a thing.

Obviously I'll still buy it, cos I'm wrong in the head :)

Alas, not quite what I was hoping for - I wanted something a bit... meatier! Add in a few flamethrower based weapons (cut off paths and areas), re-insert the frog-like alien, add a new scout-based class, and a few new terrain varieties, with a mini-storyline but the content otherwise open for the rest of the game. That would be an excellent content pack, which would be an insta-purchase.
