Midway has today confirmed that Epic Games' Unreal Tournament 3 will be released across Europe for Xbox 360 on July 4. The Xbox 360 release follows the PC and PS3 versions which have now been available for quite some time.

With the game's North American launch set for July 7 it appears as though us Europeans will enjoy a three day head-start, which is nice.

The Xbox 360 game won't support downloadable user-created mods, but will feature an exclusive two-player split screen mode. It will also contain three brand new maps, two re-imagined maps and two new characters, as well as all the DLC from the PS3 and PC versions.

There's also the possibility of exclusive Gears of War 2 video content.
