SouthPeak Games has today announced two downloadable content packs for its open-world RPG hit, Two Worlds. Each pack will be released on Xbox LIVE Marketplace, priced 600 MS Points.

The two expansions will add a host of content to the multiplayer universe, featuring an entirely new player-versus-player mode based around controlling key areas of a multiplayer map. Also included will be a new strategic play mode, additional maps, cooperative missions and a collection of new weapons.

"Two Worlds has been a huge success for SouthPeak and much of its appeal can be credited to having a huge game-world to explore," said Melanie Mroz, CEO of SouthPeak Games. "Reality Pump has worked tirelessly to improve the multiplayer experience and this new downloadable content is geared towards expanding upon it, offering lots of new missions and areas to explore with friends."

The first DLC pack will be released in March, with the second following in April.

I only played demo, pleyed it for an hour or two, and didn't really like it.

I like open-world, exploration-based RPGs, such as Morrowind, and yet I found this game boring and tedious. Right-click a goblinoid until out of mana, drink potion, kill another goblinoid, repeat until all dead, take loot until inventory full, go to town, sell the loot, return for more loot, repeat until all loot sold, buy potions, advance one hundred metres to meet another bunch of goblinoids/wolves/thugs/whatevers, repeat until finished. This game tries to be an exploratory RPG, but it's just a dungeon crawler sans dungeon.

The voice acting is so-so at its best, the plot (within demo) is cliched and predictable to the point of being insulting, the main character is an idiot and his sister looks like she took the wrong turn when it said "Two Worlds to the right, Diablo to the left".

The landscapes are pretty indeed, for some 15 minutes. That how long it took before I noticed every piece of forest looked the same, with few landmarks. This game has a scenery, but it doesn't have a world.

In short: Gothic and Gothic 2 were so much better!

Aside from the bad horse control I don't understand why people are such haters of this game. I absolutely loved it on the PC. It took a little while to get the hang of but man was it worth it. Still I guess I can see how it might not appeal to jittery mountain dew fueled 12 year olds who need a death every 6 seconds in a game and have an aversion or inability towards reading.
It is a beautiful game to look at, easy to control, aside from horses, and has an original leveling system for equipment. I want more.
