Touchstone has today released a playable demo of its imminent futuristic dinosaur infested FPS Turok. The demo offers players the chance to sample a section of the game's single-player campaign, jumping into the boots of former black ops commando Joseph Turok.

Turok is now part of an elite special forces squad known as Whiskey Company and is on a mission to take down a war criminal - Turok's former mentor, Roland Kane.

The mission takes a turn for the worse when Whiskey Company's ship is shot down over a genetically altered planet. The crash-landing leaves Turok to fend off Kane's well-trained army and a host of dinosaurs and other beasts which inhabit the planet.

The demo comes in at 1.17GB and is well worth a look in anticipation of the game's February 8 release.
