UK Video Game Chart: MGS4 knocked off the top

LEGO Indiana Jones storms past the PS3 exclusive to score another week at No.1.

Chart Track reports that Metal Gear Solid 4 has lost its place at the top of the All Formats All Prices UK video game chart after only one week at No.1. It's Activision's LEGO Indiana Jones which returns to the top for a second week.

Metal Gear Solid 4 took a hefty 59% drop in sales during its second week, enough to see it slip below LEGO Indy which only dropped 29%.

Atari's Alone in the Dark debuts at No.3, and is followed by GTA 4 at No.4 and Wii Play at No.5. Other new entries include Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII at No.10, Top Spin 3 at No.12 and Cooking Guide at No.19.

New entries for next week likely to chart well include Battlefield: Bad Company, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, Bourne, Beijing 2008 and Command and Conquer: Kanes Wrath.

MGS4 most certainly has not outsold Halo 3. Halo 3 sold more than 5 million worldwide, whereas MGS3 barely cracked 3 million.

i personally never will trust xbox to many issues but as an owner of all sony systems i do realize that xbox 360 is not a system to be taken lightly. those that think this war is far from over should think again. while ps3 owns japan u cant really say that is true here. even last month numbers wernt that far apart, outselling xbox by just a few thousand isnt enough to the win the war. any objective person will see that!

Thick or what!

Those implying the PS3 is still sh*t or MGS4 wasn't a success, where the fck have you been?
For a 1 format game to sell aswell, and as much as it did, i think any fanboy's can start rolling in there bed at night worrying about all the pathetic arguement's they have just lost.

P.S.... PS3 didn't need MGS4 to outsell xbox, it did the easy work on its own.

Jesus why do xbox owners always think there above everyone else?

well xbox will always be outsold in japan but the question is how long will mgs help ps3 outsell xbox here in the states?

mgs4 is the sec biggest selling game of all time beating hype machine halo 3 which was sh*te by the way mario galaxy sold more but mg is a grt game but mgs4 has blitz all other games incliuding geARS OF BORE PS3 OUTSELLING XBOX IN JAPAN AND AMERCIA NOW
