Silicon Knights president Denis Dyack believes that the PS3 and Xbox 360 are roughly equal in power.
Speaking to Dean Takahashi of the Mercury News, Dyack spoke on the long running subject of which is more powerful; the PS3 or the Xbox 360?
"Maybe the PS3 has more processing power. The 360 has more available memory. It's pretty much a net, net," said Dyack. "The public perception of the PS3 was that it was much more powerful. To developers, they look even."
Dyack also offered his view on the 720p/1080p debate, noting that the jump from 720p to 1080p from a visual standpoint is "questionable."
"All of our games are likely to be 720p because of the faster refresh rates," Dyack told Takahashi. "There are all kinds of trade-offs. It takes a lot more RAM to do 1080p. You'll reserve RAM for the textures. 720p is just less pixels. [But] There is definitely a huge difference from 720p and analogue."
Silicon Knights has previously worked on titles such as Eternal Darkness and Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes for the GameCube, and is now working on the Too Human trilogy for Xbox 360.

PS3 Capabilities
And these comments coming from someone busy developing how many PS3 games? Isn't he currently developing an Xbox 360 title only? How can he compare the PS3 and the Xbox 360 then?
What grounds of basis does he have? It would be nice to know...

Xbox 360 is superior to the Playstation 3
Silicon Knights is also working on a Playstation 3 game that currently does not yet have an official name.
It has become common knowledge in the industry that the Xbox 360 is superior to the Playstation 3 hardware.
It is very important to remember that the specifications Sony gave for the Playstation 3 at the 2005 E3 were false specifications. The specifications that Sony ended up giving at the 2006 E3 were FAR less impressive.
No doubt about it, the Xbox 360 is the best videogame console hardware that developers have to work with at this point in time...and that won't change for at least five more years when new systems start to get released again.

The 360 sucks
Everyone who owns a xbrick 360 always seems to go on about how good Call Of Duty 3 is. I played it on the 360 in a shop and was bored within 3 minutes. The graphics aren't that great either!
