Top 10: Ways to make Too Human 2 amazing
We've completed Too Human and know what we want fixed in the sequel.
OK, we're sure it's not going to be called Too Human 2, that would just be silly. But we do know it is coming, and that's because Too Human, Silicon Knights' 360 exclusive dungeon crawler, is planned as a trilogy. Given the hype, we couldn't help but feel that the first game was disappointing, despite it retaining a healthy addictive quality. But there are plenty of flaws in Denis Dyack's loot hunting game, which leaves us plenty to get our hands dirty with our Top 10: Ways to make Too Human 2 amazing. There's a lot we like about Too Human, but there's also a lot we don't. And we've got a few ideas to help sort that out.
10. Optimise!

With nearly 10 years to make it we're not sure how Too Human ended up feeling rushed, but it does. The game is full of technical issues and suffers dramatically from drops in frame rate. It's noticeable in single-player, especially when goblins fire multiple rockets on your position and the game struggles to cope with the explosion effects. But in two-player it's even more pronounced. For the next game we want a properly optimised experience, that runs at least in 30 frames per second at all times. This is especially important if we're going to have four-player-co-op (see number three).
9. Fix the damn camera!

Because Baldur's attacks are controlled with the right thumb stick you have almost zero control over the camera. While it does have its moments - usually when you're walking along a platform and Silicon Knights demands you take notice of a huge statue or an impressive vista - when the going gets tough and you have scores of goblins and dark elves on your arse the camera suffers from random bouts of mentalism. It won't get stuck, it just doesn't show you exactly what you want at all times. Fingers crossed Dyack and co spend some time fixing what is one of the most important features in any third-person action game.

the only problem i can see with any class is the COMMANDO CLASS! they are boring at first and arent so great but if you lvl one to 50 people wont like playing with you for a good reason. YOU KILL EVERYTHING BEFORE EVEN A BERZERKER GETS WITHIN ATTACKING RANGE!!!
loot... if there are going to be so many different colors of it (grey, green, blue, purple, orange, and red). the lower colors (grey, green, and purple) should be more useful than just leveling to around 25. because that sounds confusing ill give an example.
you are a lvl 30 berzerker and you are noticing that more and more orange drops that were rare a few lvls ago are now very common. you have now set your salvage to purple bc it is POINTLESS to HAVE!!! i do hope that examples are taken from world of warcraft (as much as i hate that game) because they have a great system. YES there are several different types of armor but anything that is purple and at lvl 50 will offer the same protection. this is dumb. armor should be so much more unique.
an easy way to fix the useless armor problem is this simple. dont set the orange loot to drop so often!!! christ i swear the gap between orange dropping a red dropping is like the distance between heaven and hell!
let me say this. PEOPLE LIKE SHOWING OFF THEIR CHARACTERS! and by this i mean people should be able to be unique. another example. two lvl 43 berzerkers shouldnt be just as good as the other. and this goes back to the armor problem. lets say "billy" has only been playing 2 hours a day while "jimmy" has been playing for 5. i would say "jimmy" should have at least one better item (rather it be a weapon OR armor) considering he has spent more time loot hunting. i could go straight to world serpant right this second and find so much armor in orange that it is retarded.
enough about that. now. i cant agree more when anyone says there should be AT LEAST a 4 player co-op. tell me what the hell good aggression and soothing REALLY do with just two people? its team based things like this that go completely to waste.
like i said character classes are fine but they could be tweaked a little more. bio engineers heal WAY to slowly and shouldnt rely on a combo meter or a spider to replenish health. take classes much further into depth.
ENEMIES! MY BIGGEST COMPLAINT! WHY SHOULD I BE ABLE TO ONE HIT ALMOST EVERYTHING!? make LESS enemies. but make them BIGGER and STRONGER! make runes like "dodge" worth using. make close combat FUN. and why the hell would I at LEVEL 35 want to fight LEVEL 54 ENEMIES when im playing with my lvl 50 friend!? i would not! balence it out. make the ability to "one hit or one shot" enemies special and badass. people enjoy helping out their lower lvl friends and the other way around.
weapons... are all nice but so many with different names yet thay have the amazing ability to look oh so similar... (same as the armor) make more weapons. make them different and unique! this makes every individual character more unique.
why do i fell like im running in a straight line to each boss? oh yeah because there is only one path to take for every level i play through. (for the most part) PLEASE make it more open! i would like to explore more. and yes i would like to be able to go more places like others are saying with the whole mass effect thing. put me on a space ship and send me to another PLACE!
really all this game needs when put straight to the point.
1. 4-6 player coop
2. the ability to make characters much more unique with armor weapons charms runes etc.
3. MUCH more open enviornments. and just more places to discover all around.
4. i would love to have the ability to make MY lvl 42 bio better than jimmy's and billy's. and i mean statistically.
5. tougher enemies with better A.I. programming so me and my 4 to 5 friends need a strategy to complete the instance. not just run in holding the thumbstick and mashing the x and y buttons occasionally.
6. please make a much wider variety of GUNS to use. and dont make any one class so powerful they can do everything themselves.

Add more freeplay options - the same 4 dungeons offer little replayability, barring moving through them with a higher lvl guy and better gear. Diablo had it right with randomized maps in their dungoens. I could see this being a problem with this type of game though.
Add more sidequests! - There's not nearly enough out there in terms of meaningful sidequests. There's so much that could be added here. I was amazed how linear the game was.
Take lessons from Mass Effect - Give us a ship we can fly around to different places with. Let us out to explore those places a little more. Let us go dungeon crawl around the world a little bit. Make the city bigger and more explorable, with side quests. Even if their only available after you complete the main story, it would give us something to do to level up other than replaying the campaign over and over
Fix Cyberspace! - This is by far my biggest gripe. Cyperspace is just a complete joke. You could have a whole other world there, but it feels like an empty, chopped up set of rooms.
Otherwise, the game rocks. It's addictive, and lots and lots of fun. It's got a fair amount of replayability, and you pick the story up better the second run through.

I am so tired of people who dont even know what they are talking about bashing this game. The game is creative, interesting, and addictive. And quite frankly if you don't think so, your a "bloody idiot",sir, Have a nice day.

Don't agree on the animations, they're excellent, but they could have more transition animations from doing various things during COMBAT.

Ice Forest was just plain nasty sometimes...

Goblins are split into Bombardiers and Melee based, with the odd Goblin Boss who looks like a Murloc (Hey it had to be said) with a magic stick.
Dark elfs have three splits, Melee focused (A group of these can be a pain since they take forever to stand back up after being knocked down) Range focused, who have Gatling-like weaponry, and Snipers who are essentially melee's with a laser mounted on their shoulder.
Trolls are split into Smashers and Bombardiers, Smashers smash an Area around them and Bombardiers fire delayed bombs that...well...go boom i guess. Trolls can be mounted and killed rather easily once you get the hang of it, though a group of them + goblin bombardiers is a nightmare.
Undead are possably the most versatile, with subclasses such as Melee, Ranged, Suicide bombers (Ya, really) and then all the various "Elite" level variants. Too much to cover so i'll just say "Fun challenge"
Spiders are, so far, my nemesis of classes, they come in one variant, always elite (sometimes moreso elite meaning you need different tactics to kill them) and will attack from range until you get close enough and then they chase you slamming the ground.
Overall not much pissed me off about the game. I like the combat system, the camera never got in my way, the graphics were nice, it didnt lag and i saw the death scenes as a chance to try and analyse what exactly i messed up.
My only nag is a backround "lore" thing, lets just say some of the "backround" matches well, but cringed a fair bit while doing mission 2.
