The lengthy legal tussle between Epic and Dennis Dyack's Silicon Knights has come to and end, with the latter being forced to pay out a whopping $4.5m in damages.
Too Human and X-Men: Destiny developer Silicon Knights has laid off nearly half its workforce following a split from an unnamed publisher for an unannounced game, reports Kotaku.
Silicon Knights, the Canadian studio behind Too Human and recent flop X-Men Destiny, has laid off 72 of its 97 staff, according to two credible independent sources.
After funding from state officials, the Ontario-based Silicon Knights, developer of 2008's Too Human, is to hire 80 new members of staff. The money will help bump the studio from 100 employees to 180.
Titles to be announced to the public in the "coming months".
