The £100 price tag publisher Activision has placed on upcoming video game Tony Hawk Ride should not deter gamers from picking up the game. That's the opinion of the game's lead designer Patrick Dwyer.

"The price I'm not concerned with," Dwyer told VideoGamer.com.

Dwyer believes Ride's infinite replayability makes the game good value, despite the £100 asking price.

"The one thing about replayability for this game is, you're learning the skill. Every day you play this game, you put in an hour or invest two hours, how much time you invest in it, that's how much time you're going to get out of it," explained Dwyer. "It's not like you play this game and it's done in eight hours, or it's done in 30 or 60 or whatever. It's done whenever you feel you've mastered it."

He concluded: "Tony Hawk skates every single day and he still doesn't think he's mastered skateboarding. That's kind of the same way our game is. It's infinitely long because there's no way to judge how you're the best at it."

Tony Hawk Ride is scheduled for release on December 4 for Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii.

If I thought the skateboard with no wheels was worth it then the price tag wouldn't bother me. But, it's Activision so it's definately not worth it.

Infinity is a long time I'll probably get Arthritis or be dead by then. My 360 probably will be too.

Infinite replay? Heck no. More like limited play. Couldn't see myself playing this enough to actually enjoy it. And i also couldn't see myself play this in the only area of the house which is clear enough for it, which coincidently is next to my dads £2000 Portuguese fireplace.
