With Splinter Cell: Double Agent now only weeks away from release, Microsoft has announced that the Splinter Cell game to follow Double Agent will be an exclusive title for Xbox 360 and Games For Windows.

Currently the only place to play the next-gen version of Splinter Cell: Double Agent is the Xbox 360, and that is set to continue with the next instalment in the franchise now set to arrive only on Microsoft platforms.

Splinter Cell: Double Agent will debut on the Xbox 360 on October 20, with the current-gen and PC versions arriving one week later on October 27.
