THQ buys Midway San Diego

TNA license is not included in the deal.

develop reports that THQ is to acquire Midway San Diego for $200,000, with offers made to at least 40 of the studio's 100 staff.

Midway San Diego's TNA iMPACT is not included in the deal.

The fate of Midway San Diego was uncertain following Warner's acquisition of much of Midway – it, along with the shuttered Midway Newcastle, was not included in the takeover back in June.

It's not known what plans THQ has for the San Diego studio.
