The Xbox 360 version of Titanfall has suffered a two week delay, EA has announced.

The game now won't see a release until March 28, two weeks after its original March 14 launch date. The Xbox One and PC versions have not been affected and are still on track to launch in the UK on March 14.

"In these last few weeks before launch, Respawn is in the final stages of polishing the Xbox One and PC versions of the game," explained EA Studios EVP Patrick Soderlund.

"Bluepoint is doing the same with the Xbox 360 version. To give them the time they need to put the finishing touches on the current-gen version of the game, we are moving the Xbox 360 ship date to March 25 in North America and March 28 in Europe. The extra two weeks will ensure the full world of Xbox gamers has an awesome experience."

An Xbox One and PC beta for Titanfall is expected to launch next week.

None of those reasons (I believe) are valid. I would refer to people who have those thoughts as idiots.

"Lets wait until the install base is as large as last gen" by those terms PS2 is still Current Gen."

Perhaps people don't consider PS4 / XB1 to be next gen until it has overtaken PS3 / 360 in terms of quality / consistent releases and until it has a greater install base?

Just an observational rant.

Targeted at the whole industry but mentioned in this article.

Current Gen is Wii U, Xbox One and PS4. - They became current gen the moment they were released.

Last Gen is Wii, 360 and PS3. Became last gen the day the new consoles were released.

Next Gen is Wii Me, Xbox 1a and PS5. These are the next consoles that have yet to be released.

Rant over!

Anyhow back on topic, this seems like a Xbox One shifter rather than anything else. People desperate to play may well go out and get the new console over waiting an additional time period. While this proportion will be small it will help and won't affect 360 sales.

Very strange; most likely to get those who are desperate to buy an X1
