Wheelman pushed back to Q1 2009

Midway's vehicle-based combat title being given more time in development.

Kotaku reports that the release of Midway's Vin Diesel video game project, Wheelman, is to be held back until Q1 2009 to enable further polish to be applied to the title. The news comes direct from a Midway rep attending Comic-Con.

Wheelman hasn't had the smoothest development history, having originally been pencilled in for a winter 2007 release. Hopefully the extra time in development will enable Midway Newcastle to turn the game's potential into a decent action experience.
