THQ CEO Brian Farrell has revealed that the company views downloadable content as a key component of its next-gen efforts.
Speaking to investors, Farrell said that THQ "view downloadable content and microtransactions as a key component of our next-gen development efforts."
The publisher will begin with new maps for The Outfit, which Farrell says will arrive "later this month," and is already planning "to offer downloadable content for Saints Row as well."
Talking to GameSpot, a THQ spokesperson has said that the maps are likely to be released in packs of three, and should cost in the region of 500 Microsoft points. How many maps THQ is planning to release is unknown.
