The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim title update 1.7 will be released this Thursday, August 9 for Xbox 360 (worldwide) and PS3 (North America), Bethesda has announced.

European PS3 gamers will have to wait until next week.

1.7 features a range of bug fixes and optimisations, but on PS3 also includes the new additions from 1.6 such as mounted combat. Xbox 360 users get improved Kinect voice recognition.
