Speaking during a conference call following the company's third-quarter financial report, Ubisoft has re-confirmed that Splinter Cell Conviction will be an Xbox 360 exclusive.
Sam Fisher's highly anticipated and somewhat delayed next outing was announced as an Xbox 360 and Games for Windows exclusive back at X06 in September 2006, but after reports of development problems and a perpetually slipping release date Ubisoft went quiet on the game.
Today the publisher confirmed that the game is due for release in the 12-month period starting April 1, 2009. If you don't own an Xbox 360 and were hoping the delays were down to a new multi-format development strategy, you're sadly still out of luck.

I am anxiously waiting for the game to come out.
Will it have Driving Missions in the game.
I hope they feature Podgorica, Montenegro which is a country that I am from in the game.
The ending will feature Sam Fisher Hugging Anna Grimsdottir wearing a skirt.

Why bother posting in this article then.
Its Ubisoft of course there going to let it out on the 360 first as of how long it has been in production for. As of releasing the game out on the 360 as of more people own the 360 than the PS3 Ubisoft shall be going into safe water. Then they would release it on the PS3 thats what they basically did with the first Splinter Cell.

And I don't think it's a case of developers pulling out as much as it is MS waving the greenbacks around. But that's the way to do business and MS know it.

No, this game has been an exclusive ever since it was first announced, about three years ago. I think it was Microsoft responding to Sony getting MGS4 exclusive.
And I don't think this will come to PS3, as I'm fairly certain MS paid out to keep it exclusive. Unless Ubisoft release an alternate version a la MGS2: Substance.

Double Agent is a good game as it provided a twist than the others. You had some tough decisions throughout the game which made play through it twice. Really hope that Splinter Cell Conviction is a stellar of a game.
