Xbox 360 and PC exclusive will now be released in Q1 2010.
Ubisoft has announced that Xbox 360 and PC title Splinter Cell: Conviction has been delayed and will no longer be released in the publisher's third fiscal quarter (October 1 - December 31, 2009).
The publisher has stated the game will now be released during its fourth fiscal quarter, meaning a release date at some point between January 1, 2010 and March 31, 2010.
Yves Guillemot, Chief Executive Officer, stated: "We are disappointed that we have to postpone the release of several major games but we consider that this choice is the best one in the long-term interests of Ubisoft."

This was my most anticipated game of the year after everything else I genuinely cared about slipped to 2010. Now every game I want to play is being released next year instead. Guess that puts New Super Mario Bros Wii at the top of my list =\

The delay can only be good - it's much better than getting an unfinished game which needs constant patching.
