The console war is fought everywhere these days, but the internet seems to be where people are most vocal. It also serves to give each console its own set of downloadable content, fuelling the war even more. Each week we'll give you a run-down of what's available to download on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii, and declare a winner.

Note: This round-up is based on UK releases to each console's online service and does not include premium video content. Releases outside of the UK could vary.

PlayStation 3 - PSN

It's almost impossible to contain our excitement. The Killzone 2 demo is out! OK, it's a little short, so due to your excitement you'll probably rush through in under ten minutes, but just look at it. It's gorgeous. Apart from the length the only real downer is that you're going to have to wait three weeks to get the final game. In the mean time why not check out our HD 720p video review.

Amazingly the Killzone 2 demo isn't all PS3 owners get this week. The PlayStation Store also received three new PSN games (Lunines Supernova, Cuboid and 3 on 3 NHL Arcade), the full version of Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box, new content for LittleBigPlanet and Everybody's Golf, a selection of new tracks for Rock Band and Guitar Hero World Tour and a Mirror's Edge theme. There's a Resident Evil 5 demo too, which is well worth a look once you're done with Killzone 2.

Oops. Missed Resi 5 as it wasn't included in Sony's mail out. Thanks for pointing it out.

Why isn't it fair? It's comparing the downloadable content available this week - whatever that may be. Nobody is stopping Nintendo from offering downloadable Wii demos... Stop crying!

This article is not making a fair comparison. You can't compare demo download content to Wii virtual console downloads. Thats like comparing apples to oranges. If you really want a fair DLC Royal Rumber, compare the downloadable games of all three consoles to each other. Demo wise, the Wii doesn't have console demos (except for the DS demos) so its not fair to compare that with the Virtual console downloads.
