Saints Row franchise is THQ's most successful owned-IP
News
More than 11 million units shipped globally.
More than 11 million copies of games in the Saints Row franchise have been shipped worldwide, publisher THQ has announced.
This make Saints Row THQ's most successful owned-IP franchise.
Of the 11 million, 4.35 million units are attributed to Saints Row: The Third, which has also generated the highest digital revenue of any console title in the publisher's history.
Hoping to build on the third game's success, THQ is releasing standalone franchise extension Saints Row: The Third - Enter the Dominatrix in September 2012. The game promises even more over the top action thanks to a virtual reality setting and superpowers.

But although I am glad to hear the SR series is doing well, I just hope SR4 won't be a rush job (which I fear it will). Especially given how stripped down SR3 was (and the DLC so incredibly lackluster).
I'm looking forward to see how much Enter the Dominatrix brings to the table, which should be a good indicator of intent.

With that in mind, my suggestion is for THQ to start doing this with other franchises:
A comedy Assassin game where you get to enter the body of various failed assassin's who need their lives turned around. the fact that they are clowns, pimps and other types less suited to being an assassin makes this all the more harder.
