Rock Band game controller peripheral to be modelled on legendary Fender Stratocaster electric guitar.
Harmonix and EA has today announced that Fender Musical Instruments Corporation will have their instruments exclusively featured in the upcoming video game Rock Band.
The Rock Band game controller peripheral will be modelled on the Fender Stratocaster, one of the most iconic models of electric guitar in the world. Fender guitars, basses and amps will also feature exclusively in the game.
"Our friends at Harmonix have done an amazing job of capturing the power and style of legendary Fender products within the virtual gaming experience and delivering it all in the spirit of rock 'n' roll," said Bill Mendello, CEO of Fender Musical Instruments Corporation.
In addition, Roland Corporation and BOSS brands will be featured in the game.
Rock Band is scheduled for release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 towards the end of 2007.
