UPDATE – 02/12/2015: A new “multi plaftorm” rating for Resident Evil 6 has appeared on the Australian Classifications Board and, while PS4 and Xbox One are not directly named, the timing of it suggests we could be due an announcement soon.

Capcom has yet to comment. (Thanks, SegmentNext.)

ORIGINAL STORY: Listings for PS4 and Xbox One versions of Resident Evil 6 have been spotted on the Korean Game Ratings Board, suggesting the game could be being remastered for current-gen.

The ratings (which were spotted by Gematsu) appeared online yesterday, but do not offer any indication of a release date or how the game may have been improved for current-gen.

Capcom has yet to announce PS4 and Xbox One versions of Resident Evil 6, but, as highlighted by Gematsu, the listings come from the same board that leaked the existence of the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Resident Evil Revelations three years ago, prior to their official announcement.

Earlier this year, Capcom also stated that selling “HD remasters of [its] catalogue hit titles will be one of [its] key business activities”. An HD remaster of Resident Evil Zero is due for release early next year.

Resident Evil 6 first launched on Xbox 360 and PS3 back in November 2012, but was criticised for its lack of focus and poor design decisions.

VideoGamer.com has contacted a Capcom representative for comment.
