Capcom’s most successful video game is no longer Street Fighter II, with the SNES fighter’s 6.3 million copies now bettered by Resident Evil 5.

Resident Evil 5 has now sold 6.5 million copies since its release in 2009.

Third in line is the hugely disappointing Resident Evil 6 which has some how blundered its way to 5.2 copies sold since its release in 2012.

It’s worth pointing out that Street Fighter II Turbo for the SNES has also sold an impressive 4.1 million copies, and given its release a year after the original would have cannibalised sales.

Capcom has seen more than 60 games sell over one million copies, the latest being Monster Hunter 4 which has moved over 3 million copies in just a matter of months.
