Capcom has shot down rumours suggesting that Resident Evil 5 has become an Xbox 360 exclusive.
It has been rumoured that Resident Evil 5's absence at the Tokyo Game Show is down to the fact that Microsoft is attempting to make the title an Xbox 360 exclusive. A 'no comment' response from Xbox Japan boss Takashi Sensui only aided in fuelling the rumour, but today Capcom has categorically denied all such reports.
"Resident Evil 5 will release on PS3 and Xbox 360 as announced. There a no plans for an exclusive with the game," a Capcom spokesperson told CVG.
It's also unlikely that the game will make an appearance at X06, with the rep adding that the game is still in very early stages.
