The Resident Evil franchise is the latest to benefit from hefty price reductions as part of the Ultimate Xbox LIVE Game Sale.

Resident Evil 6 is the major deal, reduced down to only £8.99. Even with its negative reviews a sub £10 price point has to make it worth a punt.

Also £8.99 are Resident Evil 5 and the brilliant Resident Evil 4.

Operation Raccoon City is slightly dearer at £11.99 and Code Veronica is down to £4.49.

All prices are good for one day only. Analysis

Will you be picking up RE6 for £8.99, or is this still too expensive? Let us know in the comments section below.

I don't care personally as I plan to play the stuff on my 360 anyway. It's the same with windows phone, I had to buy Full House Poker again for the version on my phone.

One wonders WHY Microsoft is now competing with online prices for digital content. I get the feeling it's something along the lines of "Lets get rid of as much as we can before they find out none of it will be backwards compatible." It's just a feeling, deep down I have a hope it'll all transfer over or be able to be redownloaded and that Microsoft are just being nice.

I already got Resident Evil 4 for 6 quid on PSN when they messed up with the price when it originally came out.
Bought Code Veronica for 4 quid odd this morning with my spare points, bargain!

I'm diving in at this price, if only for the sake of completion. No doubt there will be a boatload of people searching for co-op partners over the net few days, so it could turn out to be a really good usage of £8.99.

I nabbed Resi 6 for £17.24 back in December, still worth it just for the opening sequences so definitely worth it at £8.99.

So far I've picked up Resi 4 (it's the only one I haven't yet played) and Assassin's Creed Revelations (so I can catch up with the storyline before getting Assassin's Creed 3) for £8.99 each, so bang goes another 11 GB of storage.
