Platforming sequel to feature new settings, vampires, ghosts and dragons.

Rayman Origins is to receive a sequel, if a survey by marketing firm Arkenford is a sign of what's to come. The survey, noticed by Kotaku, even reveals the first info on the game.

"The sequel to Rayman Origins will feature brand new settings: legendary worlds filled with castles, vampires, ghosts, Greek gods or dragons," read the survey information.

Rayman Origins 2 will reportedly feature the same multiplayer found in the 2011 original, but level designs will be less out-there – something fans of the first game might not be overly thrilled about.

Ubisoft is yet to announce the game and no release date information has been revealed.

VideoGamer.com Analysis

A sequel to Rayman Origins would be great news, but it certainly didn't look likely at one point. The game failed to set the charts on fire, but it proved to be a steady seller for Ubisoft – something the PS Vita game helped when it arrived alongside the new handheld.

My wife loved it on Vita, 'proper old school' she calls it :) And I admit, if not being my genre of choice, it does look fun to play.

"some tips" from LocoRoco is the polite way to put some of what I am seeing but if you are going to 'borrow' ideas then it is a fine starting point. Rayman is a good game though and does look lovely on that Vita screen.

I just bought this game (1) yesterday for my Vita. I'm absolutely loving it. Great sound, visuals and gameplay. It's like a joy overload and seems to have taken some tips from Locoroco (another of my favourites).
