Ubi: core games unlikely to see motion controls
News
Family games, however, will see the majority make use of motion control.
Speaking to CNBC, Ubisoft chairman and CEO Yves Guillemot has said that while motion controls will in the near future be available to all platforms, he does not expect core gamers to want to part with their game pads.
"The current pad for gamers is giving them a lot," said Guillemot. "They play for hours, so they don't want to get up and down. They don’t want to be tired after five minutes. These games are about reactivity."
One area that will spread the use of motion controllers is family games, with Guillemot expecting as much as 80 per cent of Ubisoft's family output to utilise motion in some way.

Would I pay for Natal just so I could sign in and manipulate my dashboard in a really cool way when I've got a controller that already does it? Probably not, seems like a luxury item.
I just can't envision any games that I'd like to play that could make really good use of Natal whilst kicking back with my feet up, unless I got this sudden urge to conduct an orchestra or cast spells just by waving one finger around.
I'm still excited by the thought that someone might think of such a game, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
