The retail version of Rainbow Six Vegas slipped out with a few bugs that players have picked up on, and to fix these problems Ubisoft has released a new patch.

The patch will auto download and install when you next load up the game, and primarily focuses on issues with the game's multiplayer element. Most notable changes include improved performance when using the Xbox Live Vision camera, better voice chat, a correction to the Siege Specialist achievement and fixes to numerous crashes. There are also some tweaks to single-player game, including a fix for the game's voice recognition system.

The game's development team have already stated that recently discovered issues will not be addressed in this update, and gamers will have to wait for update two before these are fixed. You can find a full list of patch changes over on the Ubisoft forums.
